After I completed my second semester at SVA, I took a semester off to work with José Antonio Torres Marin and Rossana Vázquez to work on a documentary film based in Mexico. I worked in the script department as continuity assistant director for the short documentary ASTRAL (2002), It was humbling working with staff from the Asociación Mexicana de Cineastas Independientes.
