DJ Dune is a 19-year old non-binary singer/songwriter and author, using the She/They pronouns, based out of the state of Texas. In terms of their work as an author, Rise To The Top: A New Beginning is Dune’s first officially released original novel. This is the first of many that they plan to release in the future, both within the Rise To The Top series, and within this larger universe as a whole, along with some standalone, out of universe, stories as well.

In terms of their work as a singer/songwriter, their work there is based in the pop and singer/songwriter music categories. They has been writing his own songs for two years now. Growing up in a family in which no one else was as into music and songwriting as he was, they have been attempting to craft their own path and destiny in the songwriting world. This has included listening and getting inspired by works of very accomplished singers and songwriters, including the likes of Dove Cameron, Olivia Rodrigo, Zendaya, Sofia Wylie, Taylor Swift, among countless others. Another way they got their hands into the songwriting world is by performing some original songs at the virtual Coffeehouse Student Performances events, hosted by the place they called home for high school. One of those original songs performed live, Home (it was performed at the January 2022 edition of the event), along with them as the songwriter, were featured in a Student Spotlights blog, which details some of the writing process that went into the development of this specific song. Some of the songs they consider their best works include the aforementioned Home, My New World, It’s Time To Show, and New On The Scene.

In terms of their work as a voice actor, Dune has been providing the voice for lead character Art in the series Puppets Amongst Puppeteers and the character Brent in The Janitor: Arizona. Though this is the extent of their voice acting experience for now, Dune is always looking to expand and push their limits.
